While I can't keep up with all the beautifications available to wealthy actors, I do like to peek in at celebrities born in my year, 1955. This week I am looking at the wondrous Judy Davis, born in April of that year.
She's a gifted and versatile Australian actress, who first gained attention in the 1979 film My Brilliant Career. She's been a favorite of directors Woody Allen and Joel Coen, and hasn't seemed to pursue "big" movies. She did an amazing portrayal of Judy Garland in 2001, and is still working on stage, television, and in films.
I love her quirky looks, and if this is 57, it ain't bad! You go, Judy Davis, stay fabulous.

| Wonderful mature face. Love the red lips and wavy hair. And the "I know what I'm doing" look. |
Have a joyful Saturday, and don't forget, Monday, October 1st (yes, October!) is Visible Monday. Everyone is welcome to participate!

Oh I'm so happy to see you feature Judy Davis. She has always been one of my favorites. I've been following her style since I first saw her in "My Brilliant Career."
ReplyDeleteRemember her bright red lipstick and all black wardrobe phase in the 80's? I was right there with her. Excellent choice, Patti ;-)

I've always loved her. She takes on such interesting roles! I'm not sure who was born the same year I was (1957), will have to google it!
ReplyDeleteOoh! I get Frances McDormand! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love this weekly post, and the "wonderful mature face" description. She is incredibly beautiful, and you've reminded me to get a haircut :P Shorter hair is such a high maintenance deal. When it was long, I'd cut it twice a year. Whether it needed it or not :P
ReplyDeletevery excellent age twin!!
ReplyDeleteShe's definitely one of those ladies who just gets more beautiful with age.
ReplyDeleteShe's utterly gorgeous and I appreciate the introduction!! Since I'm not a movie buff I've missed her. She's a few years younger than I am, but I think we're in the same general ballpark. It'a very inspiring to see women aging with integrity.
ReplyDeleteI love Judy Davis but I have never seen her in My Brilliant Career. I must watch it! I really liked her in Woody Allen's movie Celebrity and in A Passage to India. She is not only beautiful but her husky voice and laughter are divine!
ReplyDeleteOoh, what a wonderful idea, to find "age twins." And what a beautiful actress. I love to see Hollywood women who aren't afraid of their natural beauty. Hey, I love to see all women unafraid of their natural beauty!
ReplyDeleteShe's a legendary actress.. :)
