It's transitional season dressing time, yay! That opens the door for all kinds of fun looks, incorporating more layers, longer sleeves, and more scarving. For this outfit, I started with the most simple of white tees from the GAP. I usually buy a couple of these at a time, because, well, white tees just don't stay work-worthy for long.
The print skirt was thrifted. I have enjoyed wearing it more than I expected, because it keeps its shape nicely and it's a great length. The maker is "Nygaard", of whom I had never heard, and for whom I found only this close approximation. Great skirt, anyway.
The scarf was an eBay find; it's really soft and I see a lot of Fall/Winter potential for this one. Are you using your scarves like mad now that it's cooler? (or even cold, for some of you!). I love to have one in my ice-box of an office, and have even converted them to rain-hats on occasion.
| Picasso's lion has hair like mine. |
| You can see the scarf is big enough to be a dress! |

Lovely skirt and scarf! You look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI had always remembered Nygard being a label my mother bought. Now my Mom is a very stylish lady, so I should have paid attention to Nygard earlier. Now I love the red sweater I have from them. Hope you enjoy your new skirt.

ReplyDeleteLove the pattern-mixing. I've started wearing scarves a lot more now that the weather is cooler. And I have one in my office year-round. It's an ice box!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I really adore the bold scarf, it's lovely! Sometimes you just need something bright and happy to change up the day. Especially on a Monday.

Gorgeous scarf! So jealous you're using scarves because of AC. I'm living in them, because it's currently 47 degrees outside. :) Love those sandals, the design looks so intricate!!! ~Sarah
ReplyDeleteOhhh, gorgeous scarf! There's about six days a summer here where it's technically not scarf weather!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patti, and seriously, that scarf is enviable, and you are print-mixing like it's your job.
love your scarf. I love this time of the year, because I do layer and layer.

Peter Nygard is a designer for Dillards. The skirt looks a lot like something from that line. I have a number of pieces from that line.
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful in this outfit. That scarf is truly beautiful and it will look great with a lot of outfits.
Patti, your scarf is beautiful. I love how the pattern in your skirt picks up your sandal design, as well as the graphics in the scarf. And yes, I am actively putting my scarves into rotation again.
ReplyDeleteThat scarf is beautiful, your shoes are really pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour scarf is so lovely, and I can so relate to office chill - I need scarves all year long, primarily for function! Gorgeous skirt as well, but my favourite parts of today's outfit are your wonderfully fierce lion mane and your smile all twinkling with mischief.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting another awesome Visible Monday!
Hi Patti, so great to see your community growing! ReplyDeleteYou wear a scarf with pizzaz! Such a versatile accessory with limitless benefits!
ReplyDeleteNygaard is a Canadian clothing company owned by Peter Nygaard. It had modest but profitable beginnings with a line called TanJay. Tan Jay was very polyester and very unhip. This no longer exists and has been replaced by Alia. In the last 20 years a number of lines, Nygaard, Peter Nygaard, Bianca etc., have represented the more upscale aspirations of Mr. Nygaard. As a side note, his place of business was picketed many years ago by a group of women hoping to shame wealthy alimony deadbeats into paying up.
ReplyDeleteI love the scarf, Patti. And you look lovely and fresh. Your hair is beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the public open-air concept loo and shower area.
ReplyDeletePalma has a range of top-notch clubs, and Tito’s is one of
the most popular. The only issue I have is that they
really should have found a way to double face the can, so
it will work better in store shelves.
