Lauren Bacall's Ageless, Stunning Style

Farewell to a Hollywood legend. Lauren Bacall died Tuesday, at age 89. RIP, gorgeous and talented lady.

New York Magazine published a fabulous slideshow of her style through the years. See the whole show here, and have a peek at a few of her amazing looks below:

Her signature high-waisted trousers and awesome shoulder pads, mid 40's.
Love the monochromatic, simple chic look. She and Katherine Hepburn were pioneers of pants.

A statement sweater, more high-waisted trousers and peep-toe wedges. This would look great right now.

Wow, the zebra top is TDF. She kept true to her simple style and wore it with a white pencil skirt. 1954.

Color-blocking like a boss. Gorgeous green sweater. Mid-1950's.

In 1966, she looks glam and gorgeous in an unfussy gown. And, pockets!

At age 75, still rocking her cool, classic look in all-silver.

Have the best weekend, and stay fabulous,

Visible Monday is on its "off" week this week, so we can recharge, refresh, and go glamping (details to follow). ☺  We'll be back on Monday, August 25th (actually, the Sunday evening before)!

So chic and stylish her entire life! Yet, very strong and molded by the challenges her fame and fortune brought her way. She will be missed.

  9. Oh, the zebra top and pencil skirt - fab! I always loved her hair, that lovely swoosh off her forehead and soft waves. I read her autobiography, Bacall By Myself, and really enjoyed it. She was a legend.

I loved her from the time I read her autobiography when it came out. Never fussy, always elegant, tailored and incredibly chic. I wish I could wear high-waisted pants and a white shirt like that.

  14. She always looked amazing and effortlessly so. Thanks for sharing Patti. Have a magical week.

  15. I adore her! Heard an older, rebroadcast interview with her via an NPR podcast yesterday... Such elegance and class. Love this post! T.

  16. Hi Patti -

She was not my favorite actress of that era, but i always admired how stylish, slick and cool she was -
